Job Purpose

The Batchmaker Operator purpose is to manufacture liquid coatings by using batch ticket specifications. Batch Making Operators use various types of mixing tanks and coating manufacturing equipment in accordance with established Operating Procedures and Safety Procedures to achieve the highest level of efficiency and productivity.

Key Accountabilities

Manufacturing and adjusting liquid coatings.

Sampling and testing of product.

Completing paperwork associated with the process.

Maintaining acceptable level of cleanliness.

Managing hazardous waste in the work area.

Security and Environmental activities (SAFE meetings, BBS observer, HS&E training, Near Miss reporting, Housekeeping, 5S, Recycling, Waste Management, etc.)

Other duties as assigned

Key Activities

2 years Batch Making / manufacturing experience

High School degree or equivalent required.

Good verbal and written skills.

Strong mathematical skills

Basic computer skills

Ability to stand and walk most of shift.

Ability to lift-up to 55 lbs.

Ability to push and pull containers weighing up to 600 lbs.

Capable of using any personal protective equipment needed.

Capable of passing any material handling tests required.

Capable of demonstrating competency in both the process and the testing of product.

Able to follow written instructions acquired from a batch ticket.


    2 years Batch Making / manufacturing experience
